Welcome to the all new Sapphire Customer Newsletter, Christmas Edition 2008.

 

I hope you are all looking forward to a few well deserved days off over Christmas.

 

Here at Sapphire we value all of our customers highly and strongly believe in supplying exceptional service, ensuring our support levels are kept in line with your expectations and also by employing knowledgeable and experienced technical staff and account managers.   Communication is essential for a good working relationship and so to add to our existing customer communications, we are introducing this all new biannual Customer Newsletter to keep you up to date with all of the latest Sapphire company news and any new products and services we offer.

 

 

 

2008 has been a busy and eventful year for Sapphire.  In March we opened our first US office in Los Angeles which so far has been a great success.  This month we have expanded our operations in to New York City and also hope to continue Sapphire’s growth into 2009 with the possible opening of a base in Scotland.

I would like to say a big thank you to all who voted for us in the Software Satisfaction Awards this year.  Due to your overwhelming support, Sapphire were proud to be named CRM Reseller of the year 2008.  To add to this great achievement Sapphire were also awarded, once again, SAP Business One Channel Partner and Infor FMS SunSystems Partner of the Year accolades.   A special congratulations must also go to Steve Wright, one of our SunSystems Business Development Managers, for winning Infor FMS SunSystems Sales person of the Year 2008 - for which he enjoyed a well deserved trip to Arizona, USA!

2008 has been my first full year at Sapphire and as my colleagues have mentioned much has happened at Sapphire, we continue to move forward strongly thanks to you our clients, however we have to acknowledge that we are in challenging times and the next year is going to be difficult for many people and organisations.

 

The emphasis in all businesses will be to sure up revenues and keep costs under tight control, more now than ever will people need timely and accurate management information and make sure there are processes and controls in place to monitor the cost base.

 

It is for this very reason our account management team will be at hand to help you, they can organise many things for you, whether you need training on reporting, setting up new processes or alerts, making sure you can collect cash quickly or want to streamline your procurement process.

Firstly let me offer seasonal greetings to you all.

 

2008 has been a notable year for several reasons. On the financial side we have seen the lowest UK house prices since August 2006, VAT recently dropped to 15% and we saw the introduction of the lowest interest rates since 1951. 2008 has also given us a change of Mayor in London in the shape of Boris Johnson and a new President in the USA with the election of Barack Obama. Let’s also not forget the great haul of 47 medals, including 19 gold's, delivered by the British Olympic team in Beijing.


In the more workaday world of business software at Sapphire Systems, 2008 has not been without its memorable moments. We have received a number of awards, such as CRM Reseller of the Year as voted by visitors to the Software Satisfaction website.

 

 

 


We have been running our support email follow up system for a year now; this has been a success and we plan to continue using it. As I have mentioned before, the great thing about asking for your opinion in this way is not that we build up a very positive set of statistics (although we do that as well) but, more importantly, your comments give us the opportunity to follow up and answer the specific points you make. Your feedback and suggestions give us the chance to adjust our offering in line with your needs. The same applies to our annual client survey that is mentioned elsewhere; I would urge you to make use of the opportunity to tell us what you think.

Anyway, I trust that you all have a great Christmas and New Year break; I am sure that you have earned it. May the New Year be as prosperous as it can be for you and I wish you all the best of health.

Sapphire has gone from strength to strength over the recent years and will continue this steady growth into the New Year. With this in mind, so that we continue to provide all of our customers the excellent support they have become accustomed to and continue to uphold Sapphire’s ethos of customer first, we saw the need to build on the internal Project Support Department in June of this year.

 

Sapphire enlisted the help of Vicki O’Neill to head up this team. Vicki comes with a wealth of experience, having worked in the industry for 12 years so is more than qualified to help this team grow and introduce new processes to ensure our clients continue to receive an excellent service. Within the Project Support team is Jenny Govender who has worked for Sapphire for 3 years and is our SAP Business One Project Coordinator. Working alongside Jenny is Trudie Talmage, who is a seasoned Project Coordinator and looks after our SunSystems and Procurement consultants.

 

This team not only provide essential support to Sapphire’s consultants and project managers, but also deliver office-based project management to our clients with smaller projects, adapting Sapphire’s standard ten step implementation procedure.

 

 

With a direct line and email straight into the Projects team, our clients can be assured that there will always be someone on hand with up to date knowledge of their individual project, who is in a position to book new dates and make any necessary changes.
