In 2002 The Brooke had a step-change in income, growing significantly, which in turn drove expansion plans. Until then a Sage solution had been used, but a more comprehensive financial accounting package was required, hence the move to SunSystems from Sapphire.
To implement a new and affordable ERP system that could manage company expansion while offering improved financial insight and multi-currency functionality.
Kevin Squires, Financial Accountant, explained the requirement to upgrade: "Essentially our hardware had outgrown our software. We hadn't upgraded SunSystems as it worked well for us and there were no failings in the system. When the need to upgrade our hardware arose we also took the opportunity to look at all our software packages and decided to upgrade SunSystems at the same time."
