Vision XL

Data management and reporting add-in for Microsoft Excel

Vision XL is an intuitive addition to Microsoft Excel  which makes rapid and flexible data interfacing possible.  Excel's extensive capabilities are increased when Vision XL is used - facilitating powerful real time presentation and reporting of data from any system.

Vision XL creates a dynamic link between multiple data sources and Microsoft Excel so that a single report can be created.   Equally, Excel worksheet data can be transmitted to other specified data sources. 

Because  Vision XL is versatile and easy to use, non-technical users can analyze data effectively.  This augments   analytical capability and  aids decision making. 

An Integrated Solution

Vision XL appears in Excel as a menu bar or toolbar add-in.  The VisionXL menu contains purpose built functions which permit dynamic  and adaptable access to data in any data source; the data can be used to populate Excel worksheets. 

Cache

Vision XL includes cache technology so that the extraction time needed for sophisticated reports can be decreased.  Caching produces results more quickly by reducing the number of database requests.

Vision Executive

Standalone desktop reporting and analysis

Vision Executive is a standalone desktop reporting and analytical processing application.  Remote users can make use of the browser version to run and query underlying application databases with Vision Executive defined reports. All Vision Executive features, except report design, are available in the browser version.

Executive Analysis

Investigate the details of any report in detail by working with Vision Executive's analytic functions  — Drilldown, Expand, Breakout and Cube Analysis.  Save analysis procedures that are used often and run them to update a report.  Analysis paths can be stored so that they are accessible each time a report is created.

Vision Word

Data management and reporting add-in for Microsoft Word

Vision Word is a smart, intuitive way to enhance Microsoft Word attributes and contains rapid, flexible methods to extract information from your data sources  and place it in Microsoft Word documents.  

Vision Word's extensive report writing component can be used for the production of both statutory and management reports and memoranda. 

Microsoft Word  is widely used for the creation of important documents including reports, letters and business plans. Vision Word adds to the ease with which people use Word's current, well-known features when they create professional business reports. 

Dynamic Options

Vision Word contains a number of output options including include HTML, e-mail and print.  It also has an exhaustive Document Rules component which permits report subtotalling and calculation logic to be defined with enormous flexibility.  Word's standard reports are generally comprised of static material; Vision Word allows them to be refreshed so that they display the database's most recent information.   

Vision Mail Merge

Vision Mail Merge expands the features available in Microsoft Word's Mail Merge and permits a series of actions to be taken.  These include: identification of a data source for the key merge document; inserting, deleting or moving Vision Merge and Vision Command fields; key document setup; and implementation of a mail merge. 

Vision Mail Merge allows for the use of Equation Editor fields which can be determined each time a record is extracted by using the recalculate command fields.  When Vision is used, it is easy to include up-to-date information from any database in a merged document.
